URA FC to Play Home Matches in Namboole

Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club will, starting September 13 host their matches at Mandela National Stsdium in Namboole.

The 2010 league winners have been granted authority by the Namboole Stadium management to use the facilities for their home games.

In the past, the Club had been hosting their home matches at the Mehta Stadium in Lugazi, but the Uganda Football Licensing Board complained about the status of the Lugazi Stadium.

Last season, the Tax-men won 5, drew 8 and lost twice playing at Lugazi in the league as the team collected 48 points overall to finish 4th on the 16 team log.

The Club’s last home league match was a 1-0 victory against Bright Stars on Tuesday, May 16th.

It is to be noted that Police FC also hosts its league games at Mandela National Stadium.

URA FC become the second team to change their venue, with Kirinya Jinja SS the other, after they transfered from Kakindu to Bugembe.

URA FC’s First 3 home league games include UPDF FC, KCCA FC and O duparaka FC.
