UPDF Tomahawks’ Coach Sets Season Target

UPDF Tomahawks suffered their 8th game of the season following their 57-63 defeat to the Sharing Youth in the National Basketball league.

Baker Kyambadde, the Coach of UPDF Tomahawks, remained positive that the team will come back stronger and challenge for the Play off places.

Speaking after the team’s loss to Sharing Youth, Kyambadde said: “Our target for this season is to make it to the play offs, which will be our second year running. I do believe that it’s a target we will achieve definitely and I am sure that after this break, my team will come back stronger.”

Kyambadde who is an Army lieutenant revealed the team’s pre-season preparations, stating: “After this round one phase, my team is travelling to Burundi for the East Africa games and then after that, we will return in the country stronger to compete in the second round.”

UPDF Tomahawks’ season so far

The Army side had a slow start to the league, losing all their first 3 games before putting up a fight against Our Saviour to record a narrow 53-55 victory.

Since that victory against Our Saviour, the team has only managed to pick maximum points against JKL Dolphins and Betway Power.

In total, UPDF Tomahawks first round has seen them win only 3 games out of their 11 matches.
