Uganda People’s Defence Forces football club (formerly the Saints FC) has officially confirmed the release of six first team players.
With the 2017/18 season beckoning several teams are making early preparations to bolster their squads and also let go of players they think are surplus to requirement.

The combative midfielder who also featured for the national team (Uganda Cranes) joined the Bombo based side in January this year helping the team to survive relegation.
The other players axed include Moses Lubega, John Wakalaita(formerly at Kirinya Jinja SS), Ivan Kiweewa and central midfielder Augustine Walusimbi.
Earlier on the club had released Rogers Aloro who sought for greener pastures at Sofapaka in the Kenyan Premier league whilst right back Aggrey Kirya has moved to Onduparaka.
Former Uganda Cranes hard working midfielder Noah ‘Babadi’ Kasule is among the exiting players.
Kasule, Moses Lubega, John Wakalaita, Ivan ‘Kalolo’ Kiweewa and left back Augustine Walusimbi will not have their contracts renewed.
The club also blessed the transfers of utility player Rogers ‘Modest’ Aloro and hard working right back Aggrey Kirya to Sofapaka and Onduparaka respectively.
The club is undergoing several changes ahead of the new season including change of name from Saints FC to UPDF football club.
