Uganda Tourism Board is set to exhibit at the British Bird Watching Fair in Rutland, Oakland UK.
The expo is slated to run from 18th to 20th August 2017.
During the fair, according to UTB officials, Uganda will market its self as a bird watchers destination and also showcase its diverse natural endowments.
Mitchel Mwesiga, the Public Relations Officer Uganda Tourism Board tells Chimpreports the fair will provide a great opportunity to market Uganda.
“At the fair we expect to attract more bird watchers and market our country’s rare bird species,” he said.
“Uganda has more than 1000 bird species, some of them very rare world over.”
According to studies, English people are known for their passion for birds. They spend a quarter of their travels on bird watching .
“This is going to be the 8th time Uganda has participated in this fair and the results are so far good with more bird watchers coming into the country each passing day,” Mwesigwa said.
