Outgoing European Union Ambassador to Uganda Kristian Schmidt this morning welcomed his successor H.E. Attilio Pacifici.
Schmidt announced last month that he would be leaving Uganda after serving in the country for four years.
He was appointed head of the EU Delegation in Kampala in November 2013.

The new Head of Delegation Mr Pacifici was sent to Uganda in the June nomination of 41 new heads of EU delegations, by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini.
He has been previously serving as Advisor to the Managing Director for Africa within the European Union External Service.
Meanwhile, Kristian Schmidt was sent to head of the EU Delegation to Myanmar in South East Asia, in the same nominations.
