The event hosted in partnership with Kas Wear saw 10 up-and-coming Ugandan fashion designers and entrepreneurs lined up to showcase their designs representing U.S. Uganda partnership.
Scott caused laughter when he revealed that this was the first time in a career of over thirty years that he got to be a fashion show judge adding that fashion was a great way to celebrate creativity and innovation most especially for young Ugandans.
The best designer was presented with an accolade.

Skin Samona had gone to CKI grounds looking for only 9 goals to secure themselves a spot in the semifinals, a goal they achieved in the first 2 sets.
Alfred Gumikiriza aka Black Sheep led the attack with a win against William Mirembe but CKI Reacted through Gerald Lubega who beat Amos Ndyagumanawe to make it 1-1.
Skin Samona won all the other frames from 3 to 10 and securing them the needed winning margin. The Skin Samona squad included Alfred Gumikiriza, Amos Ndyagumanawe, Dan Mubiru, Sula Matovu and Uthman Bukenya.
PAU Seed One Fahad Ssewankambo did not feature on the line up as he is preparing for his UACE examinations. Skin Samona will face Scrap Buyers which eliminated Masindi based League One Club Red Shooters.
In other games, Spice also qualified for the semis for the first time in their history after a 10 all draw at home.
The game of the night was between Maga Pool Club and Nakawa Pool Rangers at Maga’s home in Ntinda where scores remained neck-to-neck until the end of the match.
Nakawa led First half with 6-4 but Maga equalized in the second half with brilliant attacks from Esir Muyanja and Kataaba Sadat. After securing the 10 all draw in quarterfinal both legs, each team picked their best player for a sudden death decisive game to determine the winner.
Maga picked Sadat Kataaba who had earlier secured the equalizer during the first leg while NPR picked senior player Juma Tomusange aka Osama. Osama beat Sadat to become NPR’s hero who will be remembered for having propelled them to 2014 Clubs Knockout semis.
Osama was surprised by the unexpectedly good performance from Maga who were regarded underdogs. “Maga has proved hard to beat given the fact that they almost beat us at home in the first leg.
We are excited to have progressed to the semis”, said a relieved and smiling Osama.
NPR will be playing against Spice in the semi finals scheduled for on 6/12/14 at Lumas old Kampala while Skin Samona will play Scrap Buyers.
In Ladies Category, Champions Indigo survived Skin Samona who had an earlier led of 4-0.
Indigo came from behind and made a 6 all draw to go to qualify for the Semis as they had edged Skin Samona 7-5 in the first leg. Hotpool also eliminated last year’s first runner up Lumas after a 7-5 win at Ntinda thanks to Caroline Kyampaire’s deciding game win against Sharon Mirembe. Rock Catalina and Capital Night also qualified to semis.
