Sports Club Villa have on Tuesday completed the signing of defender- cum midfielder Nicholas Kasozi.
The player has been on radars of several clubs including KCCA FC and URA FC but he has finally settled for SC Villa.
Kasozi joins the Jogoos on a three year deal from Fufa Big League side Synergy FC from Masaka. This was confirmed by club President, Eng. Ben Imanuel Misagga.
“We have finalised the signing of Nicholas Kasozi from Synergy FC on a three year deal,” Misagga confirmed.
Kasozi, a robust and combative player had an impressive season at Synergy in the Fufa Big League, helping the team reach the playoffs.
His combination with Ivan Ahimbisibwe and Solomon Okwalinga did not go unnoticed as he went ahead to earn a call on the national team.
He has since then been in the set up for the Uganda Cranes in the recent regional tours and was part of the CHAN squad until he got injured.
Kasozi is a versatile player who can ably play at right back but also very comfortable in the central midfield.
He joins the long list of SC Villa’s new signings in this transfer window including players like George Ssenkaba, Allan Kyambadde, Mahad Kakooza, Simon Sserunkuma, Sanon Mulabi and Musa Mukasa among others.
