Ibraham Saddam Juma finally made his maiden appearance in the KCCA FC jersey after days of waiting.
And like every player’s wish of having a debut to remember, Saddam Juma did not disappoint with a great performance on Sunday against Faith Union Sport(FUS )Rabat.
For a player of Saddam’s calibre, he proved to the world that he could rekindle his talent at KCCA FC.
The robust midfielder dominated proceedings as KCCA FC eased past FUS Rabat 3-1 in the Total CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.
He capped his brilliant performance with a great finish in the 52nd to open his account at KCCA FC on a positive note.
Saddam Juma was happy about his performance and the fact that KCCA FC earned a convincing victory.
“I must say I’m delighted that I finally made my debut. I have been anxious to play and thanks be to Allah I had a good start with a win for the team but also a goal for me,” he said.
“I think the performance should be attributed to the coach who believed in me but also the teammates who have given me overwhelming support since I joined KCCA,” Juma added.
Despite playing in an unfamiliar position (holding midfield), Saddam Juma was able to execute to perfection balancing both offence and defence and also igniting attacks.
The roving playmaker joined KCCA FC in May but CAF regulations dictated that he had to wait for the transfer market to officially open(on 1st July) to feature for KCCA FC.
The Kasasiro boys who travel to Tunisia this week to take on Club Africain need just a point in their last group game to advance to the quarterfinals.
They are currently second on the log with 9 points in 5 games same as leaders Club Africain while FUS Rabat and Rivers are 3rd and 4th respectively.
