FT: Police FC 3-2 Kansanga United
In their bid to fully compete in the upcoming league season, Police FC has been having numerous pre-season friendlies to test their players’ capability and fitness levels.
In their recent friendly match played today at Kibuli SS lower ground, the Uganda premier league side emerged on top with a 3-1 victory.
Police fc settled into the game quickly when Martin Mpuuga scored the opener with a shot from close range but their lead was short lived when Zzinda Husein picked a loose ball before rounding off Police FC’s shot-stopper Simon Tamale to slot the ball home for an equalizer.
The peace keepers pushed more bodies upfront which troubled Kansanga and minutes later, new signing Norman Ojik was tripped down in the area for a penalty that Juma Balinya coolly converted.
Steven Mugisha who had a good game throughout got the third goal for Police just 3 minutes into the second half.
Kansanga’s Wilson Mugabi halved the deficit with the best goal of the day when he drove a powerful shot from outside the 18-yard box that Tamale Simon could not save.
