NSSF Promise More Support to KAVC Volleyball Tourney

National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has been sponsoring the KAVC International Volleyball Tournament for the past 9 years, and the organization has committed to continue their support.

Geraldine Ssali, the NSSF Deputy Managing Director revealed this in her speech on Sunday at Lugogo before the Men’s Final.

“We are proud as NSSF to be part of this great tournament that brings together these East African teams,” she said.

“Putting in our support for this great cause has made us more proud, and we will continue doing the same as it has been the case for the past 9 years.”

Ssali Urged the defeated teams not to be overridden by defeat, and move with their heads up while working hard.

“Kindly don’t lose heart but just know that everyone is a winner tonight,” Ssali said.

The Guest of Honour,  Afande Soloweni,  also a member of the National Council of Sports, Said: “I want to thank the main Sponsor NSSF for their kind heart and KAVC, the hosts for this wonderful tournament.”

“This Sports tournament has brought us together from different East African Regions as one, and it is also important to our healthy as it takes away the stress.”

The NSSF funded Volleyball tournament which ran for two days was concluded on Sunday with APR and RRA crowned as Men and Women’s Champions respectively.

The Tournament is held annually, and organised by Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club (KAVC).

This year’s tournament was held at 3 different locations: Lugogo Indoor Stadium, Makerere University Business School and Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
