Emmy Ngabirano, the Mitooma District Deputy RDC has been promoted and transferred to the newly created Rukiga district as the RDC.
According to the transfer letter from the Office of the President dated 16th August 2017 signed by the Secretary Hajji Kakande Yunus, the transfer takes immediate effect.
Hajji Kakande asked Ngabirano to follow the Public Service Standing Orders (2010) as he takes up his new assignment.
Ngabirano was first appointed to the office of the Deputy RDC in 2014 and posted to Kabale District and later transferred to Mitooma where he has been.
Before becoming Deputy RDC, Emmy Ngabirano represented the Youth in Rukungiri district council from 2002 to 2006 and then represented Nyakagyeme Sub County from 2006 to 2011 where in the two terms he served as Secretary for Social Services.
Rukiga became operational on 1st July 2017 but has not been having an RDC. Darious Nandinda, the RDC Kabale has been the care taker in the meantime.
