Ladies: KIU Rangers 43-74 A1 Challenge.

KIU Rangers completed their first round one games with a 43-74 defeat against high flying A1 Challenge at the MTN indoor court in Lugogo.

A1 Challenge’s Victoria Ntale scored a double double of 12 points and 11 rebounds but it was Desire Birungi who led the way with 13 points.

KIU Rangers who only scored 4 points in the first quarter trailed from the start to the end in a one way avenue encounter.

Rangers who used only 7 players on the day have now suffered 6 defeats, winning only Gladiators and Lioness to complete a miserable first round.

The victory was A1 Challenge’s 4th in a row and 5th overall from their 7 games played so far.

The Challengers who lost to UCU Lady Canons and KCCA Leopards earlier in the season will now play Nkumba Lady Marines in this Sunday’s early kickoff before ending their first round with a crunch tie against JKL Lady Dolphins three days later.
