Lioness vs Javon Ladies.

In the actual world, a lioness is known to be a dangerous species; it tears and rips its prey limb by limb. Her roar is always undisputed; she is the queen of the Jungle.

Lioness Basketball Club has not lived to those expectations. They have been a shadow of the actual Lioness; they are a complete opposite as the team has failed to win a single game this season so far.

Even with a powerful roster that has Sarah Nassuna, Patricia Nakiwu, Ruth Nkabidwa, Annet Nakiwu and Nabatanzi, Lioness Coach Derrick Mbusi has failed to get the magic out of them.

They face an under par Javon Ladies side that is yet to impress having lost 5 of their 8 games they have played this season.

However, Javon’s Rhoda Naggita has done her part, averaging double figure points on all the occasion and she recently combined with Elsie Ruth as the pair literally tore down KIU Rangers.

With both teams playing their last round one game, Lioness believes that this is the right opponent from whom they can pick their first maximum points.

In the early kickoff; Nkumba Lady Marines will take centre stage with A1 challenge in a battle of the chasing pack.

There is a wide belief that KCCA leopards, UCU lady Canons and Lady Dolphins are this year’s teams to beat, however, A1 challenge and Nkumba Lady Marines are the other two teams that are capable of causing an upset.

Timothy Odeke’s Mariners have so far had an average season as the team has won and drawn 4 matches apiece.

A1 Challenge on the other hand, have stood firm since losing their opening two games against KCCA leopards and UCU lady Cannons, and they have gone on to win 5 games in a row.
