The National Basketball League has received a minor setback; there will be no games today (Friday) and the Sunday games have been moved from YMCA Court to UCU Court in Mukono.
The official Facebook page of the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association confirmed the changes, indicating the unavailability of Wandegeya Court.
“Following the unavailability of YMCA’s court this week, UCU Mukono has graciously accepted to host the league games and below are the adjustments made. There shall be no league games this Friday,” reads a post in part.
The affected Friday games include a Ladies’ game between A1 Challenge and Nkumba Lady Marines and the men’s game between KIU Titans and City Oilers.
However, it should be noted that City Oilers’ coach, Mandy Juruni and 5 of their players are with the National Team (Silverbacks) that is on its way to Egypt for the preparations of the Afrobasket tournament in Tunisia/Senegal.
The lower league games have also been affected in the due process; the games which were supposed to be played at YMCA court this Saturday have also been moved to UCU court in Mukono.
MUK vs Le Hoves, IUEA vs Nam blazer and Emperors vs Rez life are some of the Saturday lower division games that will be played at UCU Mukono.
Pemba Warriors and KCCA Leopards are still on top of the table for Men and Ladies’ categories respectively.
