NBL: Basketball Round 2 Fixture Released

JKL Lady Dolphins will kickstart their season with KCCA Leopards

Basketball governing body in Uganda, the Federation of Uganda Basketball Association (FUBA) has released the Round Two Fixture of the National Basketball League.

The tentative programme released also includes the dates for East African Secondary School games which will be played in Gulu, the Military games and FIBA Afrobasket which will be played in Tunisia and Senegal.

Despite the Federation’s failure to get the League Sponsor, round two of the National Basketball League will start this Friday with a game in both the Ladies and Men’s category.

Big powerhouses KCCA Leopards and JKL Lady Dolphins will face off in the ladies league at 6pm. KCCA Leopards and the Lady Dolphins are first and second respectively on the log with KCCA possing with a perfect unbeaten record.

In the Men’s Category, Betway Power will play host to the visiting Pemba Warriors at 8pm. Arnold Lando’s Power are in second place with 20 points, just a point below leaders Warriors.

Defending Men’s Champion City Oilers will wait until August 27th when they will take centre stage with Record 6 time Champion Falcons at the MTN Arena Lugogo.

Other FUBA schedule

17th – 27th August: East African Secondary School games in Gulu.

17th – 10th August: Division 1 and D-League play offs.

24th August: East African Military and Cultural games in Bujjumbura starts

8th – 18th September: FIBA AfroBasket Senior Men in Tunisia and Senegal.
