National Boxing Team Gets Food Boost Ahead of World Championship

The camp of the National Boxing team, the Bombers, has today received a major boost as they prepare for the upcoming World Boxing Championships in Germany.

In a Food-handover and Press briefing held today afternoon at MTN Arena Lugogo, Betway, a betting company revealed their package to the media that included fruits.

“We thank Betway for their continued support, and I want to ask other companies and individuals to do the same so as we move Boxing ahead,” said Fred Kavuma, the Public Relations Officer for Uganda Boxing Federation.

Speaking on the event, Adelle Agaba, the Marketer for Betway Company, said: “We have been feeding the Bombers in Camp and we continue to show our support as the team prepares for World Boxing Championships in Germany next week.”

“We thank the media for all the support to the Bombers and we hope we can push them further as they look to represent the country and lift the Uganda flag high in Germany.”

David Ayite, Muzamir ‘King Kong’ Kakande and Geoffrey Kakeeto will represent the National team in the World Boxing Championships in Germany with the team set to depart on August 21.

All the three boxers that qualified for the Germany World Boxing Championships are from UPDF team.
