Museveni Appoints Controversial King Mulenga to Head Campaign Team

Opposition Democratic Party (DP) Secretary General, ailment Mathias Nsubuga has revealed that the party will take disciplinary actions against errant, illness Kampala Lord Mayor, more about Erias Lukwago who has continuously acted against the party’s principals.

Nsubuga told journalists at the party headquarters in Kampala that the party wrote to Lukwago requesting him to stand as its flag bearer for the Lord Mayor’s seat, but he turned down the request and instead denied receiving the letter and went ahead to stand as an independent candidate.

“This is not the first time Lukwago is acting in such a manner. Even in the recent general elections, he failed to comply with party decisions,” Nsubuga said.

Nsubuga observed that the constitution mandates that such members should face disciplinary actions and the matter has been referred to the committee of Kampala district branch.

Kampala district Chairperson, Vicent Mayanja told journalists that since Lukwago is standing as an independent but still claims to be a party member, he will face the area disciplinary committee.

“Lukwago is a subject of legal regime and we shall use that process against him; any member on the executive committee who decides to stand as an independent will to lose his or her position,” he added.

Nsubuga further revealed that the party is set to write to the National Electoral Commission calling on Lukwago and his group to abandon using the party’s symbols, colors and flag since the he is standing as an independent.

He warned all members of the platform for Truth and Justice (TJ) pressure group who have used the DP party symbols, color and flag on their posters.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has appointed controversial Tycoon Caesar Augustus Mulenga, visit this site the self acclaimed King of the Mulenga Kingdom in South Western Uganda to head his special campaign team in the Kigezi region to fight former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi.

King Mulenga was appointed on the team a long with the Kabale LC 5 Chairman Patrick Besigye Keihwa.

The squad code-named 7D Task Force was appointed after a number of leaders from the Kigezi region held a meeting with President Yoweri Museveni on November 24th Gulu state lodge.

The meeting was attended by leaders from the Kigezi and Ankole region and they included among others, clinic  Benon Karyeija the Mitooma LC5 boss, Prof. Augustus Nuwagaba, Dr Francis Mwesigye Runumi, Fidelis Kanyamunyu, Abel Bizimana, Frank Byaruhanga and John Kamara.

Patrick Besigye the Kabale LC5 chairperson, who is the vice chairperson of the task force informed us that their work is to be launched in Kabale on 1st December 2015 at Kigezi College Butobere.

The task force is to cover the seven districts of Kabale, Kanungu, Rukungiri, Mitooma, Ntungamo, Kisoro.

Keihwa, who was last weekend nominated unopposed for the Kabale LC5 boss seat for the second time says that they are determined to see that president Yoweri Museveni is re-elected as President.

He is also resolved to secure a land slide victory for the president in the Kigezi region where his challengers Rtd. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye and former Prime Minister John Patrick Amama Mbabazi all hail from.

Incumbent President Museveni is slated to camp in the Kigezi region during his presidential campaigns, beginning with Kisoro on December 30th.

From 2nd to 5th January he will be in Kabale and thereafter he will go to Kanungu on 6th January  and conclude in Rukungiri on January 7th 2016.
