MTN Uganda, the biggest telecommunications company in Uganda and Africa has joined the list of big sponsors of the Kampala Capital City Festival that is slated for October 8, 2017.

The festival is in its 6th edition.

MTN has contributed Shs50m to KCCA, the organizer of the event, as a sign of their commitment to this cause.

The contribution was handed over to KCCA Executive Director, Jennifer Musisi by Val Okecho, the telco’s Corporate Communications Manager.

In a Facebook video posted on MTN’s official page, Okecho said that they were proud to be associated with KCCA and will continue working with them to make sure that services are delivered to city dwellers.

“We have worked with KCCA before and we are proud to join them on the biggest event in Kampala city that is the Kampala city festival,” said Okecho.

He added: “We shall be having a stall at the Kampala service center where there will be lots of exciting gifts like free MBS, MTN T-shirts and many others. Also your favorite artists will be performing.”

He asked the general public to visit the MTN tent to interact with different officials for inquiries.

KCCA in a similar Facebook post confirmed MTN’s participation and thanked the telecommunications giant for joining their team.

“We are pleased to be joined by another giant communication company for the Kampala city festival. Mtn has come on board and will be among our many sponsors,” part of the post reads.
