Major Kiggundu Murder Case Set for Hearing

High Court Judge Justice Wilson Kwesiga has set the 22nd August 2017 for commencement of the hearing of the case in which four people are charged with murdering Sheikh Muhammad  Kiggundu and his body guard Sergeant Stephen Mukasa.

The four suspects are: Deputy Amir of the Tabliq Muslim section Sheikh Yahaya Mwanje, 2 boda-boda riders from   Nsangi stage Muhammad Buyondo and Abdul Wahaab Ssendegeya and businessman Musa Ssekandi.

These in their plea taking on Monday denied the two murder charges against them.

State Prosecutor Linno Anguzu informed court that they are ready for hearing of the matter, which led the judge to set the hearing date.

The accused persons were remanded back to Luzira Prison until
the hearing date.

Prosecution contends that on November 26, 2016 at Masanafu trading center, the four murdered Maj. Kiggundu and his bodyguard Mukasa by way of shooting; while the victims traveled for a talk show at a city radio station.
