Maj. Kiggundu Case Hearing Commences Today

The Kiggundu murder suspects return to court today

High Court Judge Wilson Kwesiga is expected to start hearing of the case where four people are accused of murdering Major Muhamad Kiggundu and his body guard Sergeant Stephen Mukasa

The four accused persons currently on remand at Luzira Prison are; the acting Deputy Amir of the Tabliq Muslim section Sheikh Yahaya Mwanje, 2 boda-boda riders from Nsangi stage Muhammad Buyondo and Abdul Wahaab Ssendegeya and a businessman.

On 7th this month, all the accused persons in their plea before the trial judge denied the charges against them which prompted the judge to fix the matter for hearing.

Prosecution contends that on November 26, 2016 at Masanafu trading centre, the four murdered Maj. Kiggundu and his bodyguard Sgt Mukasa by way of shooting on his way to one of the Local Radio stations where he held a program on every Saturday
