Kenyan Authorities Shoot Dead Stray Lion

Authorities in Kenya have shot and killed a lion on Wednesday morning following its escape from the Nairobi national park a few miles outside Nairobi city.

Reports say that the lion was shot by a ranger from the Kenya Wildlife Service after the public raised alarm when the predator was spotted roaming near Amboseli National Park in Kaijado.

Earlier, healing http://clintonhouse.com/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/json-endpoints/class.wpcom-json-api-post-endpoint.php pictures had made rounds on social networking platform Twitter of the lion running along the street outside Nairobi.

Paul Udoto, http://cizgisactasarim.com/wp-admin/includes/screen.php the Kenya Wildlife Services spokesperson said the lion was shot after injuring a man near Isinya a residential area south of Nairobi. He added that an excited growing mob of onlookers had
prompted the lion to become fiercer and making it harder for authorities to capture the predator.

The incident brings the total of lions that escaped from Nairobi national park to four in just a few weeks.

‘The stray lion that was roaming in Isinya has been shot dead after injuring a person, http://clearwatercommunities.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/user.php ‘ said Kenya Wildlife Services spokesman Paul Udoto.

A week ago, a lion attacked a 63 year old man in Nairobi, after straying from Nairobi national park.
The animal would later be returned to its gazette habitat.

There has recently been immense public outcry from Nairobi city dwellers following these incidents.

Nairobi national park is surrounded with an electric fence separating the park’s wildlife from the metropolitan area however conservationists say inadequacy or absence of prey prompts animals to
wander off to the neighboring communities.
