Defending Azam Uganda Premier League Champions, KCCA FC, have hiked their season ticket prices in order to boost the Club’s gate collection in the upcoming season.
Initially, the club had one set of season tickets which went for Shs300,000, but it is widely known that the reception from the fans was not positive as few of the tickets were bought.
The ticket price has now been increased to Shs500,000 starting with next season.
In a press conference held Wednesday at the StarTimes Stadium, the Club Chairman, Aggrey Ashaba also revealed some new packages.
“As the biggest club in Uganda, we have introduced 2 more season ticket categories in order to cater for all our fans,” he said.
“We have added Gold and Ordinary tickets to the already Platinum tickets which were on market last season.”
The Chairman also revealed that Platinum, Gold and Ordinary tickets have been named Rwenzori, Moroti and Muhavura respectively so as to use Football in promoting Local Tourism.
“We want to use these Seasonal tickets to promote local tourism industry so that economic development can be achieved,” he said.
“We will also have group tours to Mountain Rwenzori, Moroto and Muhavura and the Card holders will benefit accordingly.”
ChimpReports understand that the season tickets are going to be electronic and will go on market before the season starts.
