The Kampala Amateur Volleyball Club President, Amon Ainebyona, expressed his appreciation to the National Social Security Fund for funding the 2017 NSSF-KAVC international volleyball tournament.
In a brief speech at Lugogo Indoor Stadium on Sunday, Ainebyona said: “I would like to congratulate all the winners and the fans that have been coming here in big numbers.”
“We thank our Prime Sponsors, NSSF for their continued support; they have been with us through thin and thick for the past 9 years. Thanks for supporting this game.”
NSSF injected 80 million shillings into the Volleyball Championship, and the organization has been the prime sponsor for the last 9 editions.
The tournament that took 2 days was played at three venues: Lugogo Indoor Stadium, Makerere University Business School (MUBS) and Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.
Rwanda teams APR and RRA took Men and Ladies top prizes, walking away with $1000 each.
The tournament also featured the finals of the primary schools competitions.
