It was a night of glamour, visit http://coloradofinearts.org/wp-includes/class-pop3.php thrill and interaction as the first lingerie fashion show in Kampala was launched at Lauma Lingerie at Oasis Mall during the weekend.
The event sparked thrill as the models stepped out onto the red carpet to showcase their best lingerie ranging from knickers, ask bras and other similar accessories, ampoule all designed for the best choice of women.
The chief guest, Keturah Kamugasa, Vision Group’s head of magazines led the first red carpet walk as she set the mood for the audience that had turned up in huge numbers to perceive the whole concept of lingerie that is quite new to Uganda’s local fashion industry.
“The beauty and smartness of a woman starts with what is inside her, this is nothing to do with pornography but a fact that people need to see and appreciate,” Keturah said.
The proprietor Luama Lingerie, Siisi Saetalu said it was the first shop of its kind in Uganda and Africa as a whole.
“We have opened shops in many cities across the world but had never thought of one in Africa until recently when I came to Uganda and realized this need. And with the connections, I felt I would add some value on the women of Uganda by setting up something like this,” Siisi said.
“We are here for charity work, 10% of the profits raised from the sale of the lingerie will be donated to support charitable causes sin the country,” Kaleu Roosivali, Siisi’s business partner noted.
