Rwanda President Paul Kagame arrived in Israel on Sunday for a two-day state visit.
Kagame, a close ally of the Israel state, has been visiting the country for many years since ending the Rwandan genocide in 1994.
Officials said Kagame would today Monday meet with Israel premier Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
He would later meet President Reuven Rivlin at the President’s Residence.
Kagame’s trip comes almost a year after Netanyahu visited East Africa including Rwanda.
Rwandan in 2014 refused to support a UN Security Council resolution calling for a unilateral Palestinian state with “east Jerusalem” as its capital.
