People are seen taking cover while they tried to crawl to safety. Children of all ages are seen running around not knowing what was happening while some are shot by the gunmen. Some parents and good Samaritans picked the children and hid them to safety away from the gunshots.
The armed terrorists attacked and shot people in Nakumatt supermarket, the restaurants opposite and on the rooftop of Westgate mall where a children’s cooking competition was taking place.
One of the survivors who happens to be Muslim narrates about how one of the gunmen spared his life, his wife’s and those of several other Muslims and let them go to safety. Some children were also spared by the gunmen.
