Former Nateete Muslim Leader on the Spot over Land Fraud

Secretary General of the Uganda Muslim Supreme council Ramadhan Mugalu on Right briefing the media

The former leader of the Nateete Muslim County (Twaale), Sheikh Ali Kisitu Wadda is in trouble again over the missing 3 acres of land located on Plot 12 in Nateete at the Old Masaka Road.

Kisuti who was in charge of the Nateete muslim Twaale for over 30 years had a challenging time last year when Muslims alleged that he had sold their land and vowed never to see him anywhere near the mosque until he returned what belongs to them.

Sheikh Kisitu kept on defending himself in vain.

The pressures mounted until he surrender the land title of the alleged land which houses a school, a mosque and a few timber shops to the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Head Mufti, Sheikh Shaban Mubajje at the UMSC headquarters in Kampala on December 20, 2016.

However today during the press briefing convened by the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council Secretary General, Ramadhan Mugalu, Sheikh Ali Kisitu Wadda is to face the courts of Law for he handed in a land tittle but with 3 acres of land missing of the 10 acres of the original Nateete Muslim land tittle.

When the title for 7 acres of land was brought to UMSC, Mufti Mubajje asserted that UMSC would follow up to recover the remaining three acres which were allegedly leased to a certain women’s group.

Mugalu today urged Muslims country wide to register all Muslim properties and report any attempted mismanagement so that necessary legal actions can be taken against the “culprits” in all the 62 Muslim districts and 420 counties/Twaales.
