Fifa President Congratulates Magogo upon Re-Election

World football governing body President, Gianni Infantino has sent a congratulatory message to Moses Hassim Magogo upon reelection as the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) head.

Magogo who went through unopposed garnered a total of 69 votes out of the 72 voters to return to office as Fufa President.

Infantino who is a personal friend to Magogo congratulated him and indicated this was a vote of confidence from the football lovers in Uganda.

“This is a clear vote of confidence in your abilities from the Uganda Football community and we look forward to continuing our corporation with you in the years to come,” the statement reads.

“I have no doubt that your rich experience, knowledge and personal qualities will continue to have a positive impact on the stable development of our beloved game in your country.”

Infantino also went ahead to congratulate the new executive and pointed out Hon. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi for becoming the first ever female FUFA 3rd Vice President.

“Please, also convey my congratulations to all of your colleagues, who were elected with you and in particular, to Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi, the state minister for Youth and Children Affairs of Uganda, elected as the 3rd Vice President.” he noted.

I wish you and your team the best of luck, strength and every success for all the challenges that lie ahead. I look forward to seeing you soon to congratulate you in person, he concluded.

Magogo was reelected the Fufa President for another 4 year term and will head Fufa up to 2021.
