FBL: Paidha Repay Sporting United

East African leaders have stepped up efforts to boost the local automotive business with the view of reducing importation of vehicles into the region, cialis 40mg Chimp Corps report.

During this week’s EAC summit in Arusha, physician Tanzania, ampoule heads-of-state “took note of the progress and road map towards finalization of the comprehensive study on automotive industry in the East African region.”

The leaders further directed the council to expedite the process and report to the 18th EAC Summit.

Kiira Motors Corporation boss, Paul Isaac Musasizi is on the frontline of advocating for the manufacturing of cars in the East African region.

He argues that EAC should consider policies for promotion of the automotive industry.

“The work we do here at Kiira Motors Corporation is shaping the destiny of Uganda and Africa as an equal partner in value addition for domestic consumption and export to the rest of the world for sustainable economic development,” Musasizi tells ChimpReports.

“Future generations should choose their life style.  They should be free to go to dance school, culinary school or engineering school because today we made the right choices and invested in industrialization to enable them to make such choices,” he adds.

The EAC Council of ministers recently met and discussed several reports on “modalities for promotion of motor vehicle assembly in the region and reduction of the importation of used motor vehicles from outside the community.”

It is anticipated that a vibrant automotive industry in the region would create thousands of jobs for the young people and engineering professionals.

The environment would as well be protected from pollution caused by imported old cars.

Musasizi says the East African automotive industry’s sustainability is underpinned by the development of policy for global competitiveness with manufacturing for export as a goal not limiting this industrial intervention to import substitution.

“The 21st century quest for economic transformation in EA should focus on domestic value addition for manufacturing of quality products in partnership with well-established and reputable technology partners in the global automotive market place,” he observes.

Kiira Motors Corporation expects to roll out the first Ugandan manufactured vehicle in 2018.

By 2039, Kiira Motors will be able to manufacture original equipment and provide over 12,000 jobs.
