There have been various reports claiming that Express FC coach is set to part ways with the Wankulukuku based club to look for greener pastures.
With all odds pointing to Rwanda, citing Rayon Sports as a top contender for his signature, Matia Lule has come out to call those reports ‘baseless speculations’.
Speaking with ChimpReports, Matia Lule said: “Those are just baseless rumors; I am still an Express FC coach.”
“Since I came here to help Coach Basena with the National team, I have not discussed with anyone about my future with the club. They are just speculating, which is wrong,” he added.
Lule and Ibrahim Ssekajja were recently appointed by the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) to help Coach Moses Basena with the National team duty ahead of the Egypt header.
Express FC is going through a tough spell at the moment; they started their training preparations very late compared to other league clubs due to ‘administrative issues’.
The Wankulukuku based club is expected to suffer with not only depth but also quality in their squad.
Saddam ‘Nature’ Juma, Allan Kyambadde, Simon ‘Almeida’ Sserunkuma, Musa Mukasa, Mahad Yaya Kakooza have all left the club.
The club is yet to fill the left gaps as financial constraints are still cited at the club.
The Club is reported to be in advanced talks with SportsPesa for Sponsorship, with DSTV expected to renew their partnership with the club next month.
David Otti, Sam Ssimbwa, Moses Basena, Frank Anyau, Alex Gitta and Wasswa Bossa have all coached Express FC since 2010, with Ssimbwa holding 2 spells at the club.
