Dstv Chops Decoder Prices by Half Ahead of X-mas

With about 5 weeks to Christmas, MultiChoice Uganda, the country’s leading Digital Television Company has lifted the lid in spoiling customers with grand festive season goodies.

The providers of Dstv and Go Tv announced Thursday morning that they were trimming by half the price of their newly unveiled HD Explora decoders.

“We are saying this season that effective today, anyone who walks into our stores with Shs 515,000 will be able to walk away with the HD Explora set,” said Brian Muwonge the Company Marketing Manager at a press conference.

The HD Explora decoder was previously going for Sh 965,000.

The offer, Mr Muwonge said, is valid up to the close of January next year, while stocks last.

The new Explora, which was unveiled in the country last year, is famous for its astounding catch-up features, and massive storage capacity where one can catch up with many hours of missed series, games and other favourite shows in their free time.

MultiChoice also announced at the conference, a reduction in the prices of their standard decoder from Shs 327,000 to Shs 279,000 fully installed.

The company sales manager Mr Jude Kalema said the products would be available at all MultiChoice outlets across the country.

“We will also enhance our street activation and we plan as well to make outreaches to various corporate companies with these products at the amazing prices.”
