Cash-Strapped SC Villa Risks Losing Prestigious Continental Berth to Rivals KCCA

Local governing football body, sickness illness Fufa has pressed the red button over SC Villa’s chances of taking part in the next year’s Caf Confederations cup.

By virtue of winning the Uganda cup, the Jogoos are entitled to represent the nation in the prestigious tournament, however the giants are yet to meet the requirements for registration.

“Sports Club Villa Jogoo have asked for more time before they dully fulfill all the requirements till November 27, 2015 as the deadline for registration is 30th November 2015,” the FUFA Licensing Committee Chairman Dr.Patrick Bernard Ogwel revealed.

Ogwel also confirmed that league defending champions, Vipers Sports Club had cleared all the security fee of USD
10,000 to the FUFA accounts and an additional USD 500 as registration fees.

Due to the uncertainty, the federation has duly informed Uganda cup runners-up KCCA FC to stay alert of the impending chance in case Villa fails on 27th.
