The retreat, patient http://cayein.com/wp-includes/post.php to be attended by ministers, permanent secretaries, heads of government agencies and local government leaders such as Chief Administrative Officers, RDCs and Town Clerks, is organised by the Office of The Prime Minister.
“This retreat is organised to take stock of government performance from July to December 2015. We would like to ensure that the bottlenecks standing in the way of delivering services to the wanainchi are promptly identified and removed so that our people receive the services they so much deserve,” says Prime Minister Dr Ruhakana Rugunda.
The Office of Prime Minister is required to coordinate implementation of Government programmes and policies across Ministries, and report to Cabinet every six months.
During the retreat, the Government Half-Annual Performance Report (GHAPR) will be released.
The half yearly performance reviews were introduced by Government in 2009 as part of broader Government reforms to strengthen management of public services and public, and to respond to concerns of weak service delivery mechanisms in Government.
