The management of Civil Aviation Authority have warned the general public about getting involved with unscrupulous people who solicit for money with promises of getting them jobs at the Authority.
According to a statement from CAA management, the body had received several complaints from unsuspecting individuals from the community who have been taken advantage of by fraudsters.
Part of the statement reads, “The culprits have on some occasions used counterfeit letter heads, among other illegal methods to convince unsuspecting members of the community to send money to their mobile numbers.”
CAA advises the public to always use the right means of acquiring jobs without using dubious means.
“The public is therefore informed that CAA has clear policies and procedures that they go through to recruit staff starting with a formal advert in the media and on our official website,” continues the statement.
Any application therefore, CAA said, should be in response to such adverts or other authorized means of advertisements.
