He added: “Your exchanges with the government Chief Whip are reaching irreconcilable levels, and as a younger and junior cadre, we expected you to accord our elder sister the befitting respect she deserves but you have continued to publicly attack her including inciting the people of Busoga against her. Abigaba warned Kategere: “Your malicious propaganda hasn’t stopped at the Chief Whip; you have continued to attack a very senior government official from Busoga accusing them of diverting lots of money received from H.E. the President to avert subversive activities in the region.”

He added: “While spreading this malicious information, you are fully aware that you are trading lies and bringing the names of the individuals you talk about into disrepute. As a young friend, we would like to advise that you should stop your malicious propaganda against the President and all other government officials from Busoga or else you may face defamation charges soon.”

Kategere, who is said to be mobilising support for Mbabazi in Busoga ahead of the NRM delegates’ conference on December 15, is yet to respond to the latest accusations.
