Aupl: URA Face Lweza Scare as JMC Test Express Credentials

Uganda Cranes boss Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has heaped lots of praises to the West Nile select side that defeated the national team 1-0 at the Greenlight stadium in Arua on Saturday 12th March 2016.

Onduparaka youngster Caesar Onega came off the bench in the 70th minute hunt down the hapless Cranes.

“I rate them(West Nile select) highly before and after the match with coaches and players from the region, information pills ” Micho told Chimp Sport adding that he “will warmly recommend those under-20 players that have excelled to Kefa Kisala (national Under-20 head coach).

The hosts’ squad was largely comprising players from Fufa big league sides Onduparaka FC and Paidha Black Angels who shared 8:3 ratio in the starting team. Other teams that provided players include Doves All Stars FC, hospital Hot Springs FC and Bugoigo F.C from Bulisa.

The Serbian sounded unimpressed with the set of players he picked for the tour and revealed to Chimp Sport that he will retain only six players and also heaped praise on The Saints FC youngster Yasin Mugume.

“On our side we took 23 players; six of them will be retained in 35 players (to prepare for Burkina Faso clash) while others will look for their chance next time while some players will have chance with the Under-20 like Mugume that is copy paste player like Kayizi Vincent in best days,” Micho summarized.

The Cranes will now embark on preparations for the upcoming 2017 Afcon qualifiers against Burkina Faso on Saturday 26th and Tuesday 29th March 2016. The first leg will be hosted in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso and return leg in Kampala.

Jmc Hippos are struggling with the fitness of influential team captain and playmaker Richard Wandyaka who suffered a minor knock on Saturday. Forwards Patrick Onyango and Mustapha Mugoya are still sidelined due to injury together with Dan Sabana.

Coach Odoch also hinted at giving Ghanaian import Samuel ‘Dante’ his debut game.

Express Fc welcome back Ismael Kazibwe and Noah SSemakula back from the sickbay. The red Eagles are fourth on the log with 29 points, 6 behind the table leaders KCCA FC though Express have two games at hand.

Other games
The other Jinja side, Bul FC will make a difficult journey to Mwererwe to take on Bright Stars Fc. The team has endured an emotional week after news came in that coach Aalex Isabirye’s mother was ill as well as Abel Dhaira the eldest son of goalkeeping coach Bright Dhaira who was diagnosed with cancer.

Bul welcome back attacking youngsters Militon Kalisa and Yunus Sibia from the national team engagement in West Nile. The two feautered in the same team together with their day’s opponents Bernard Muwanga and Mathias Kigonya.

Elsewhere, Coach Kefa Kisala will be tasked to improve URA FC away record if at all the tax collectors are intending to win the title. The Lugazi based side have only picked one win in five away and are facing a rejuvenated Lweza FC side that has won three of their past four including against two title contenders; Police Fc and Vipers.
