AUPL: KCCA Dim Bright Stars To Go Top as Police Clobber The Viper

On-fire New signing Nelson Senkatuka  grabbed the only goal  of the game as KCCA FC reclaimed thevsummit seat in the Uganda premier league with a hard-fought win over Bright Stars in a soggy surface at the Luzira stadium on Friday evening.

The city lords struggled to maintain balance and possession shooting staggering blank strikes in the opening half. A brilliant opportunity by Senkatuka capped by an untimely interception from Stars’ custodian Mathias Kigonya turned a fruitful match-decider as the youthful striker sent the ball home just minutes to the break.

Police resurgence;
In Buikwe, drugs thumb things turned sour for the defending champions as their unbeaten run and title campaign were dented with a surprise disheartening 1-3 loss to Sam Timbe’s Police Fc.

Vipers SC were forced into ‘house’ arrest just four minutes from start when Sadat Kyambadde slotted in a well taken freekick. Peter Senyonjo added the second a minute after the hour clock before Hood Kaweesa completed the surge. Former KCCA Fc and Proline dangerman William Wadri gave the hosts a pillow to lean on with his late consolation.

KCCA FC now climbs on top with 21 points from nine games, one ahead of reigning champions Vipers SC.
