Men’s Final

APR (Rwanda) 3-2 Kirehe (Rwanda)

In last year’s edition, Ngoma based club, the University of Kibungo defeated SKY (Uganda) 3-2 in the men’s final at Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

In 2015, Institute of Agriculture and Technology of Kibungo (INATEK) also from Rwanda emerged as the Champions, and it was their second title out of the three finals they had reached in the past 3 years.

The dominance of the Rwandese teams for the past few years continued on Sunday when both of their teams Kirehe and APR stormed into the finals.

Aspire (APR) volleyball team fought tooth and nail to edge their bitter rivals 3-2 in an intense final played at the MTN indoor Arena in Lugogo.

APR and Kirehe had defeated KAVC (Uganda) and REG (Rwanda) respectively on the semifinals to earn themselves the final berths.

In the placement match, Uganda’s KAVC, the tournament hosts defeated REG volleyball team to finish third, which is the last spot on the prize money bracket.
