Afcon 2017: Cranes to Play for Win, Dhaira

Uganda Cranes have two reasons why they must win Tuesday’s 2017 AFCON qualifiers against Burkina Faso; one is to consolidate top spot in group D and second is to give the fallen Hero Abel Dhaira a befitting ‘send off’.

The match will be played under floodlights from 7pm at Namboole and will kick off with a one-minute moment of silence.

Cranes come into the game disappointed at the back of a a painful 1-0 loss in Ouagadougou on Saturday night. The goal was scored by Jonathan Pitroipa from the spot at the hour stroke.

Micho’s charges will count themselves unlucky not only for failing to convert chances but for having an early Massa goal cancelled and denied a clear penalty in the dying minutes of the game after Emmanuel Okwi was brought down in the box.

This will be the sixth meeting between the two sides where the visitors have only one win and two draws registered.

Their ate no major injuries to write except the coaches may decide to alter their lineup because of tactical reasons or maybe fitness levels of players after Saturday’s game and the long journey thereafter.

Coach Micho pulled off Gormahia Fc duo of Godfrey Walusimbi and Khalid Aucho early in the game last time and is likely to draft in US-based utility player Mike Azira and Emmanuel Okwi in the starting team.

The rest of the team is expected to remain intact save for incidence of fatigue or late fitness test.

Possible lineup:
Uganda: Dennis Onyango, viagra order Isaac Isinde, Dennis Iguma, Joseph Ochaya, Murshid Juuko, Mike Azira, Tony Mawejje, Farouk Miya, William Kizito, Emmanuel Okwi, Geoffrey Massa.
