more about geneva; font-size: small;”>The Uganda Police Force regrets to announce the untimely death of AIGP Richard Bisherurwa who passed on August 4, 2012 in the United Kingdom.

AIGP Richard Bisherurwa was the Uganda Police attaché to Uganda’s mission in New York, an assignment he was meant to undertake with effect from July, 2012.

He joined the force in 1979 as a cadet officer and underwent training in Munduli, Tanzania.

AIGP Richard Bisherurwa served in various capacities notable among them include; Director Human Resource Development/Human Resource Management, Director Special Duties Office of I.G.P, Director Operations, and Director CID and many more others.

Unfortunately, he was hospitalized in May 2012 before taking up his new assignment in New York. The family and the Uganda Police took him to London for medical attention where he unfortunately died.

The Uganda Police Force would like to extend heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the family, the police fraternity and the entire country which he so diligently served.

Burial arrangements are underway and the Uganda Police Force and the family will officially inform all on the same.

He was born in Mitoma county, current Mitoma District in 1955. He lives behind a legacy of dedication and service.
