An AU spokesman dismissed the claim as propaganda and said 10 of its soldiers had been killed and two were missing.

The world came to a standstill when the bodies were displayed. They never attracted media attention following the death of Libyan leader Col. Muammar Gaddafi.

AU says Al Shabaab dressed own victims of war in AMISOM military outfits for propaganda purposes.

However, AMISOM has for long denied heavy casualties in the war-torn country.
