“Demolishing buildings in the city and running after city vendors won’t help matters but cause unemployment to thousands,” said Kamya.

Kamya said KCCA’s cruel conduct was likely to spark off civil strife.

She says developmental projects needs the support of the people. The remarks come on the heels of the city authority’s ban of boda bodas and taxis from the city.

KCCA insists this is aimed at decongesting the city.

The authority has been working day and night, destroying buildings in the city centre built against the City plans.
