UK To Cut Uganda Aid Over Anti-Gay Bill


Diplomatic sources say countries include Uganda, there Zimbabwe and Malawi.

Uganda is insiting on anti-gay bill legislation being proposed in Parliament. Those convicted of aggravated homosexuality will serve a death punishment, according to the bill proposed by MP David Bahati.

Malawi a few months ao, passed a death penalty bill that criminalises homosexuality, into law.

Uganda gets over $50m in grants from Britain. Nearly 40% of budget is funded by donors.
