The famous composer of the Uganda anthem George William Kakoma missed out on today’s 49th Independence day celebrations in Lira after a brain stroke that has kept him on sickbed for nearly two months, dosage http://companyimpact.com/waterbills/wp-includes/bookmark-template.php worsened.
Kakoma is bed ridden at his daughter’s home in Kololo, this a leafy surburb of Kampala.
Struck by brain stroke, ambulance Kakoma can hardly speak. His wife Maria Thereza Kakoma says it could be difficult for the 88-year-old music proffessor to liver for another year.
She says government should give a helping hand to the ill man. “Each day that passes he gets worse. We are so worried,” Thereza says. Kakoma attended Kings College Budo, East Africa Conservatoire of Music School in Nairobi in 1947 and left for the royal College of Music in London until 1952.
On return to Uganda, he worked as Inspector of schools for music. He has since been a farmer.
