We are told the strike has been going on silently since Monday. It’s today that it became official.
The lecturers’ leader Abdu Kabagambe says they want a salary increment.

Nkumba is a private University located just a few kilometres from President Museveni’s residence in Entebbe.
Student sources say police has been beefed up at the premises to avert possible violence.
