Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi says the driver of a truck that caused the death of four family members and left four others gravely injured in a road accident near Mabira forest is still on the run.

 

Daniel Mungyereza, a Standard Chartered Bank employee, his wife and two kids died after an overtaking trailer rammed into a Toyota Hiace they were traveling in. Ssenkumbi says police has intensified efforts of apprehending the fleeing driver.

 

“We appeal to the public to help us locate this driver. To end this road carnage, the public must cooperate,” he adds. The death of Mungyereza has struck a huge blow to the corporate community.
