The meeting which was chaired by Dusmund Okey, the FMU Vice President, finally resolved to cut off the distance to avoid antagonism.

Jackson Mungoma, the event course clerk further told ChimpSport that he was forced to cut the distance from 42 km to 32km to avoid wrangles in the event.


The event is set to kick off on May 25, in Masaka.


According to Stephen Okwonga, FMU secretary, defending champion Jas Mangati had not yet registered by press time.


This gives an advantage to other drivers to vie for top positions.


29 drivers have closed the entries of this event.


These are: Black widow in Subaru – N4, Pole Pole also in a Subaru – N4, Johns Kansiime – Subaru N4, Eddie Mukiibi – Toyota Vitz.


The event will be covering a total distance of 290kms where 90km will be transport while 200 will be the competitive distance.
