Museveni in Arusha for EAC Summit

President Museveni was received on arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport by Senior Tanzanian Government officials.

Others include MP Lokii John Baptist for Matheniko Constituency MP Khainza Justine, MP Bududa district and other Uganda Government officials as well as Uganda High Commission officials in Tanzania.

Kiyingi said Tuesday some progress on the process of East Africa’s political federation has been registered.

“Having ratified protocols on the Customs Union, the Common Market and Monetary Union by all the EAC partner states, the Council of Ministers of the East African Community on Monday resolved to recommend to the EAC Summit due to sit Wednesday that the process of drafting the constitution for the proposed United States of East Africa should start and a Committee be constituted for the task.”
