4 Shot Dead In SPLA Mutiny

Earlier, gunfire had broken out at a military barracks still at Giada south of Juba as soldiers protested delayed salaries.

SPLA commando units; Tiger Division and Jamus clashed along tribal lines; five commandos perished and three were reported wounded on spot.

Still counting, SPLA has just buried 65 officers but the number would later rise to over 100 dead bodies.

Likewise, at the start of the year, soldiers opened fire on civilians killing dozens in Juba leading to the arrest of about 100 officers.
