Mihayo noted that this has been long overdue saying, that the hospital has been surviving for two years without scanning services for pregnant mothers and other abdominal complications.

He said that the hospital has been receiving patients requiring scanning services but was referring them to the neighbouring private clinics in town.

The Kabale district Woman Member of Parliament, Hon. Rita Ninsiima Ronah, while visiting the hospital asked the expecting mothers to always adhere to doctors’ advice and midwives’ guidance while giving birth.

Hon. Ninsiima noted that some mothers have died while giving birth because they tend to ignore doctors advice, especially those who sometimes require operation while others still visit traditional herbalists.
